Abiy Ahmed Ali ( Amharski ዐቢይ አህመድ አሊ, Oromo Abiyyii Ahimad Alii; rođen 15. augusta 1976.) etiopski je političar koji je od 2. aprila 2018. godine četvrti po redu[1] premijer [2] Savezne demokratske republike Etiopije . Predsjedavajući je vladajuće Etiopske narodne revolucionarne demokratske fronte (EPRDF) [3] i Oromo demokratske stranke (ODP), koja je jedna od četiri koalicijske stranke EPRDF.[4] Abiy je također izabrani član etiopskog parlamenta, te član izvršnih odbora ODP-a i EPRDF-a.
Bivši službenik vojne obavještajne službe, otkad je postao premijer, Abiy, je pokrenuo širok program političkih i ekonomskih reformi [5] i radio na posredovanju u mirovnim sporazumima u Eritreji, Južnom Sudanu i sporazumu o tranziciji u Republici Sudan . Abiy je dobitnik Nobelove nagrade za mir za 2019. za svoj rad na okončanju 20-godišnjeg poslijeratnog teritorijalnog pata između Etiopije i Eritreje .[6]
U oktobru 2021. Abiy Ahmed je službeno položio zakletvu na drugi petogodišnji mandat.
